How to Flash and Position the Smartfren Andromax E2+ B16C2G Test Point

Andromax uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, and as with other Qualcomm phones, it takes the right firehose programmer to do flashing through EDL Mode. Talking about EDL Mode, we are required to disassemble the phone to see the test point located on the surface of the motherboard. See the picture below.

Connect the two points with tweezers, attach the battery, and then connect the device to a Windows PC. The PC will detect Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. The brick phone will look Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E. The test point is needed to change the status of 900E to flashing mode 9008.

After successfully bringing the cellphone to EDL Mode, you can flash Smartfren using QFIL or another Flash Tool. For example, I will explain the steps to flash using QFIL, and you can follow at your own risk.
  1. Download and install QPST Utility on your Windows PC.
  2. Download and install Qualcomm Drivers.
  3. Download and extract Smartfren Andromax E2+ B16C2G firmware.
  4. Run as administrator QFIL.exe icon in the directory C:\Program Files(x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin.
  5. Select PortQualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008.
  6. Build TypeFlat Build.
  7. Programmer Path → Look for the prog_emmc_firehose_8909_ddr.mbn file in the firmware folder.
  8. Load XML → Select file rawprogram0.xml and patch0.xml.
  9. Click the Download button.
  10. Wait a few minutes for the firmware update process to complete after that unplugging the phone and rebooting your Andromax B16C2G.
